Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Mousi Pty Ltd, trading as Mousi Painting (“we”, “us”, “our”), handles personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
It applies to this website, mousipaintingmelbourne.com.au, and to enquiries, quotes and painting work we carry out for you.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry or request a consultation through this website, we collect the details you choose to give us:

If you contact us by phone, email or SMS instead, we collect whatever you give us in that conversation. If we attend your property to quote, we may also take photographs and measurements of the areas to be painted.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
This website uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking. These set cookies and record information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and whether you submitted an enquiry. We use this to understand which pages and which advertising are working. We do not use it to identify you personally.
We also use Google reCAPTCHA v3 on our forms to tell real enquiries from automated spam. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis. Its use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Blocking cookies will not stop you using this website or contacting us.
Why we collect it, and how we use it
We use your information to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote;
- contact you about that enquiry by phone, SMS or email;
- plan, carry out and document painting work you engage us for;
- keep records of quotes, jobs and invoices; and
- measure which pages and advertising bring us enquiries.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with other painters or with marketing lists. We only send you marketing material if you have separately asked us to.
Who else can see it
Your details are seen by our team, and by the service providers who make our website and communications work — website and email hosting, form and message delivery, and the analytics and advertising services named above. These providers handle information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Some of these providers, including Google, store and process information outside Australia. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We may also disclose information where we are required or authorised to do so by law.
Storage and retention
We keep enquiry, quote and job records for as long as we need them to provide our services and to meet our legal and insurance obligations, after which we delete or de-identify them. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure.
Photographs of completed work
We sometimes photograph completed work. We will not publish photographs that identify your property or your name without your permission.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Call 03 9855 0598 or email info@mousipaintingmelbourne.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
